Compact DC-Powered Microphone Preamplifier
The Tinsea MPA MINI II provides adjustable microphone gain in a compact aluminum enclosure for recording, podcasting, streaming, instrument capture and other audio setups. Connect a compatible microphone to the balanced XLR input, or use the 6.35 mm microphone/instrument input for a compatible source.
Inputs, Outputs and Phantom Power
The front panel provides balanced XLR and 6.35 mm microphone/instrument inputs, gain control and independently switched +48 V phantom power. Enable phantom power only when the connected condenser microphone requires it. Rear outputs include balanced 3-pin XLR male, 3.5 mm Line Out and 3.5 mm Mic Out.
External Power
The unit requires DC 5–9 V / 400 mA external power. The included USB-to-3.5 mm cable supplies power only and does not carry USB audio. The included adapter uses a US plug; buyers outside compatible regions may require a suitable locally approved power solution.

Connection Guide
- Connect a compatible microphone to the XLR input, or a compatible microphone/instrument to the 6.35 mm input.
- Turn +48 V ON only for a condenser microphone that requires phantom power.
- Connect the balanced XLR output or 3.5 mm Line Out to a compatible line input. Use 3.5 mm Mic Out only when a microphone-level input is required.
- Connect the included external power cable and US-plug adapter. The USB connection supplies power only.
- Start with low gain and raise it gradually while monitoring the destination equipment for clipping.
