Portable Microphone Preamplifier
The Tinsea MPA M6 provides balanced microphone amplification for condenser and dynamic microphones, plus a 6.35 mm input for compatible microphones or instruments. Its compact metal enclosure includes a preinstalled rechargeable 3.7 V 18650 lithium-ion battery for portable operation.
Controls, Inputs and Outputs
The front panel provides +20 to +70 dB gain adjustment, low/mid/high EQ, output-level and battery indicators, mute, microphone/line output selection and independently switched 48 V phantom power. Enable phantom power only for a compatible condenser microphone that requires it.
Inputs include balanced XLR and 6.35 mm microphone/instrument connections. Outputs include balanced 3-pin XLR and 3.5 mm stereo microphone/line output. Match the selected MIC or LINE output level to the receiving device; use LINE IN when available.
Battery, Charging and External Power
Charge the preinstalled battery through the USB-C 5 V / 2 A input. The user guide supports operation while charging when a suitable low-noise power source is used. The separate DC input accepts 5–12 V external power and powers the preamplifier without charging the internal battery.
The included USB-to-3.5 mm cable is for external DC power, while the included USB charging cable is for the USB-C charging input. Neither cable carries USB audio.

Connection Guide
- Connect a condenser microphone to the balanced XLR input and enable 48 V only when required.
- Connect a dynamic microphone to the balanced XLR or compatible 6.35 mm input and leave phantom power off.
- Connect a compatible instrument to the 6.35 mm microphone/instrument input and leave phantom power off.
- Connect the XLR or 3.5 mm output to a compatible recorder, mixer, sound card or monitoring device.
- Select MIC OUT or LINE OUT to match the receiving input.
