Contact Pickup for Acoustic Instruments
The TX C411-P2 captures vibrations through contact with the instrument surface. It is intended for acoustic instrument sound reinforcement, with applications including acoustic guitar, violin, banjo, guzheng and pipa. The condenser pickup has a figure-eight polar pattern and a specified frequency response of 20 Hz–18 kHz.
Complete Microphone Assembly
The pickup, connecting cable and attached phantom-power XLR adapter form one complete microphone assembly. The cable and adapter are integral parts of the supplied assembly, rather than separate accessories or selectable components.
The P2 sales model identifies the version with an XLR male output and a 24–48 V phantom-power requirement.
Connection and Power
Connect the XLR male output to compatible audio equipment providing 24–48 V phantom power. Check the input and power requirements of your mixer, audio interface or external phantom-power supply before use.
Reusable Adhesive Mounting
Ten reusable nano adhesive pads are supplied for mounting the pickup. Placement affects the resulting sound; use the manual’s suggested positions as starting points and adjust for the instrument and application.
Obtain the instrument owner’s approval before attaching adhesive. Check the surface condition and follow the manual’s mounting precautions, particularly on painted or finished surfaces. Adhesive suitability should not be assumed for every instrument finish.
